Apply Computer Programming Principles

Computer Programming Principles is a practical unit that equips trainees with essential knowledge and skills for developing computer programs. The unit covers programming concepts, programming languages and paradigms, program development processes, structured programming, and object-oriented programming. Trainees will apply problem-solving techniques to design, write, test, debug, and document programs through practical exercises, coding activities, projects, and assessments. The unit emphasizes hands-on programming skills and prepares trainees to develop logical and maintainable solutions to real-world computing problems.

UNIT DESCRIPTION
This unit covers the competencies required to understand Graphic Design. It involves applying fundamentals of graphic design, applying elements and principles of graphic design, applying typography techniques, creating and editing of images, performing layout design and printing the design.

Module III – Course Description (KNEC)

Module III of the Diploma in Secretarial Studies equips learners with advanced professional competencies required in modern office environments. The module focuses on enhancing managerial support skills, advanced office administration, effective communication, records and information management, and the application of information and communication technology (ICT) in secretarial practice.

Learners are trained to handle complex office operations, prepare and manage official documents, coordinate meetings and events, manage organizational records, and apply ethical and professional standards in the workplace. The module also emphasizes problem-solving, decision-making, customer relations, and teamwork to enable graduates to operate efficiently in dynamic organizational settings.

Upon completion of Module III, trainees will be well prepared to offer high-level administrative and secretarial support in both public and private sector organizations, in line with Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) requirements and industry expectations.
